Hello, are you in search of a solution to address your dog's reactivity towards other dogs? Are you fed up of people tutting at you and who are blissfully unaware of how your dog is feeling? Is your dog barking and lunging at other dogs feeling worried and making walks feel challenging and stressful? Do you have to hire a field so your dog is not interacting with other dogs? Are you constantly on the lookout for triggers, feeling overwhelmed and conflicted by the myriad of advice available online or in the park? I'm here to help.
I understand the difficulties of being on the other end of the leash with a dog expressing fear and telling other dogs to "clear off!". Even if you've had your dog from puppyhood, did all the socialisation by the book and have a dog who sleeps well and is calm at home, sometimes things can happen and your dog can feel worried and use the barking and lunging behaviour to help themselves feel safer. Not everyone has a really sociable dog, and that can be hard for strangers to understand. While we can't control what others think, say and do we can have tools to help our dogs face things they find scary.
If you're looking for support, I'm launching an in person course designed to alleviate overwhelm, reduce stress, and bring enjoyment back to your walks for you and your dog.
Our Reactivity Dog Programme provides tools, guidance, and community support. You're not alone and there is no need to feel embarrassed. Quite often a dog will react in this way because they don't feel safe, and offence (barking and lunging) is sometimes the best defence.
Here is some info about the course:
The group is deliberately small, accommodating only 4 members.
We have a walk together with everyones dog at the end of the course.
A Journey for You and Your Dog
The course is structured in manageable sections to prevent overwhelm, ensuring both you and your dog are set up for success. With the small group setting, I can offer individual attention to address your dog's unique needs.
I'm here to support you through the highs and lows. We're in this together!

Just incase you were wondering here are some frequently asked questions..
Will the dogs all be loose in the hall? No, each dog has a separate section so they can feel comfortable and will be on the lead. It is blocked off so they won't spend the first few sessions feeling worried and barking. We then introduce each others dogs as the weeks progress.
Do they come through the same door? No, each dog has a separate door they come through (narrow spaces can feel scary!)
Can my partner come along? Of course! 3 adults can be present.
How is progress monitored? I look at weekly diaries that you submit. We also do a questionnaire at the first week and at the end to see differences in your dogs responses.
The course costs £489 and can be paid in 2 monthly instalments. Let’s start. The more time your dog has the chance to practice and rehearse a behaviour - it gets stronger and stronger, as there is nothing more reinforcing than feeling safe. If you would like to move away from stress, overwhelm and terse words with other dog owners on walks and towards calm and enjoyment get in touch.
Please note that we will contact your vet to check all is well for your dog to attend.
