Walk with me - training your dog
This is a convenient service that allows me to train your dog in your absence. I then provide handouts and guidance to you and you come on the final walk so you can keep reinforcing those techniques.

This service can be really helpful if you're recovering from an injury, operation or life is extremely busy - it happens to us all.
During the training I train and reinforce training that you'd like to see in your dog. I have supported clients with:
Walking politely on the lead
Coming back when called
Teaching co-operative care behaviours such as chin rests (which can make taking blood easier
Learning to drop
Learning to leave it
Firstly, we have an initial consultation to go through your dog's likes, dislikes, and things to work on. I come to you, take your dog out, provide notes and the final hand over session you come along so you can see the techniques in action.

Please note that if you live 5 miles from AL1 there is a charge of £1 per mile.
My dog Monty and I had a great experience working with Lisa at St Paws. I'd been struggling with him being quite nervous around other dogs, and reacting and growling as a result. We worked on association with other dogs and Lisa shared alot of things to train in to help us in different situations. It's a long process but we've definitely seen positive progress and continue to work on what Lisa has taught us. Lisa was very patient, gave lots of good insights and clearly has alot of experience and knowledge around dogs, their triggers and reactions.
